铭文：学书初学卫夫人。玉屏书。|底款：戴氏玉屏 |说明：砚为段泥质，长方形，砚盖略隆起，上下子母口相合，分可为二砚，皆开海棠形砚池。砚盖上有铁画轩主人戴国宝刻行书铭文。|作者简介：戴国宝（1875～1926），字玉屏，艺名玉道人、玉屏山人、访雪道人、铁画轩主人，祖籍江苏句容，后徙居如皋。戴国宝为铁画轩陶器公司创立者。铁画轩原是戴国宝之室名，戴国宝本是刻瓷名手，能书善画，擅长治印，与吴石仙齐名，以双钩法用钢刀在瓷上刻绘。铁画轩出品的紫砂器，在宜兴蜀山、潜洛一带定制坯件，请名工刻字。长期为铁画轩提供坯件的有陈光明、吴云根、王寅春等人。陶刻名工有邵云如等人。
