A rare late 18th century kingwood-banded satinwood table clock
signed W. Tarlton, Liverpoolthe 5.5" circular white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, the twin gut fusee movement with tall rectangular plates united by four unique (?) baluster pillars and a plain fifth single pillar to the centre, each wheel of five crossings mounted with unusual concave collets, the going train terminating in a pin-wheel escapement, with rack strike on a bell, 38cms high
