A jade and hardstone-inset gilt-silver alloy flask and a gilt-silver mounted double-gourd box and cover


The metalwork late 19th century, the jade 18th/19th centuryThe flattened circular vessel worked in repoussé to each side with dragons and scrolling foliate motifs set with coral and turquoise, surrounding a central jade 'chilong' bi disc, flanked with beast mask handles suspending green jade loose rings, with three spouts all topped with green jade cups; the double-gourd hollowed and mounted with a reticulated 'gourd-vine' cover, set with coral, lapis and turquoise and raised on tripod feet.
