Tibet, 19th centuryDistemper on cloth, the first with fierce Vajrapani, blue in colour, holding a vajra, above a stupa, 38.2cm (15in) x 25.5cm (10in); the second of black ground, the deity wearing a hat above three wrathful faces, his six hands holding a bow and arrow, a sword, a fly-whisk and a vajra staff, 41.5cm (16 3/8in) x 29.5cm (11 5/8in).
