Japanned Cabinet on Stand, probably England, the West Midlands, first half 19th century, oak and pine secondary wood, gilt and polychrome depictions of Asian landscapes, chased brass hinges, corner angles, escutcheon, two doors open to interior with eleven drawers of various sizes with Asian scenes, the interiors in imitation maki-e, set on lacquered base with scalloped apron and cabriole legs, ht. 66 1/2, wd. 29 1/2, dp. 20 1/4, cabinet ht. 32 1/2, wd. 37 3/4, dp. 18 1/2 in.
