A rare gilt-bronze inscribed figure of Lha Jegar TönpaTibet, 17th centurySeated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus pedestal, the figure wearing voluminous patchwork robes cascading in numerous pleats, his left hand resting on his legs with the palm facing upward, his right hand over his right leg touching the lotus throne in bhumisparsa mudra, Tibetan inscription on the front of the base. 10.5cm (4 1/8in) high.注脚十七世紀 銅鎏金上師像Provenance: a European private collection來源：歐洲私人收藏The front is inscribed: 'rje 'gar na mo' (གར་ན་མོ) which may be translated as 'Worship to Lord Gar'. The person referred to is most likely Lha Jegar Tönpa (lha rje 'gar ston pa), active as an Anuyoga teacher in the 12th century and related to the early Nyingma school.
