Two pale green jade 'chilong' belthoooks18th/19th century
Each similarly carved in openwork relief with a forward striding chilong with bifurcated tail, grasping a leafy stem, with confronting horned dragon head terminal, the larger with hongmu stand.
12.5cm (4.7/8in) long max. (3).注脚Provenance: An English Private Collection, collected in the 1930's and thence by descent. The larger belthook purchased from Dickinson Galleries, Singapore, 1935, mentioned in letter from the gallery.
