The full-shouldered vase painted with a continuous scene to the foreground depicting one of the Four Beauties, Wang Zhaojun riding a camel as she departs for the frontier, with two of her assistants standing nearby, one holding her instrument, pipa, the far background painted with the Great Wall; the flared rim picked out in gilt, the recessed base bearing the four-character mark in underglaze blue.
