主尊頭戴蓮花冠，法相莊嚴，右手持金剛杵，左手托嘎巴拉碗，左臂夾杖，坐於蓮臺上，左足盤曲，右腳舒出垂踩蓮花。蓮師身側左右為兩位佛母：印度明妃曼達拉娃和藏族明妃益西措嘉。主尊上方為阿彌陀佛，其右側為長壽佛，左側為夏仲阿旺朗傑，主尊蓮座的正下方為懷抱明妃的金剛護法。主尊周圍還環繞著蓮師的八種變化身。依據佛教經典記述，蓮花生大師因應化度不同之眾生而示現八種變化之身，總稱「蓮師八變」。
