The stone stele carved in high relief, depicting shakyamuni sitting on a pedestal to the center, wearing flowing robe falling graceful folds, his face with serene expression, flanked by two standing robed bodhisattvas holding attribute in one hand, all backed by large round nimbus. Northern Wei Dynasty period. Please refer to a similar limestone stele, sold in Christie's Hong Kong on October 29, 2001, Lot506. Provenance: Private Collection, Dallas
