Paul Garnier, Paris, No. 3130 The one-piece case with engraved turned handle on folding supports over a large bevelled glass inspection panel and repeat button, the frame and solid shuttered rear door engraved all over with foliate scrolls and panels of lattice work, on a matching base, the signed rectangular white enamel Roman dial with blue numerals and typical fleur de lys hands, over an Arabic alarm-setting dial, the numbered bell-striking movement with silvered lever platform escapement and bimetallic balance, the hand setting is effected through an aperture in the bell and this arbor now has a push-fit knurled knob in place for ease of use. Currently running, striking and repeating. 15.5cms (6ins) high. (2)
