The first carved to one side with a scholar and his attendant, the russet inclusion cleverly used to pick out the garments, the reverse with a further russet patch with an incised Qianlong four-character mark, stopper; the second well hollowed, standing on a protruding oval foot ring, carved from a pale even stone, stopper. The tallest: 5.2cm (2 in) high (4).
