Superbly painted on each side with a harbour scene within a gilt scrollwork cartouche filled with Böttger lustre and edged with iron-red and purple scrollwork, one scene depicting figures in a barge with a ship to the side and another by a tower in the distance, the reverse with figures on a harbour foreshore by overgrown ruins, the sides with indianische Blumen, the inside with a similar cartouche enclosing a river scene and an elaborate gilt scrollwork border around the rim. 9cm high; 17.6cm across, crossed swords mark in blue enamel, gilt 1.
