Dutch School, 17th Century Horseman Blowing a Trumpet in a Landscape Unsigned, with a label from Danenberg & Roman Galleries, Inc., New York, affixed to the reverse. Oil on panel, 9 3/4 x 8 in. (24.5 x 20.5 cm), framed. Condition: Scattered retouch, areas of craquelure with tenting, N.B. According to a handwritten note affixed to the back of this work, its similarity to the style of Adam Frans van der Meulen (Flemish, c. 1632-1690) was noted by Walter Liedtke in 2008. Provenance: The estate of George Way. Estimate $600-800 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
