A CELADON 'DRAGON' MEIPINGQianlong mark
Potted with broad shoulders rising to a short neck with flared lipped-rim, the body tapering towards the the gently flared base, the surfaces carved in low relief with a continuous design of five lively three-clawed dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls against a ground of churning waves, covered with a light green glaze pooling in the recesses of the carved design to give depth to the decoration, the foot bearing the six-character seal mark in underglaze blue beneath the clear glaze covering the foot.
