Czech Republic Moldavites, found in a "splash field" around Moldavia in former Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic), were formed when a meteorite struck the Earth's surface about 15 million years ago, melting and fusing the surrounding rock. The present emerald-cut stone has a bright, leaf-green hue as well as excellent clarity and luster, and it was custom-cut for Rock, RHC4301. Weighing approximately 5.37 carats and measuring 13.48 x 10.24 x 6.91 mm
