注体呈方形，无盖，器身顶面设两中空钮，以与提梁相合悬挂，顶正中阴刻“荣宝斋”款，字体敦厚。通体直壁，平底。口沿及足底部位分别琢宝珠纹一周。腹部正反两面錾刻山水人物图景，錾刻用工一丝不苟，树影山石之间，茅庐隐约可见，一派悠然见南山之桃花源景。玉水注是清代宫廷重要的陈设品，也是民间文人的日常用具，样式极多，造型多借鉴其它工艺门类，图案丰富多彩。根据文人喜好，主题各有所长。此件玉水注小巧可人，比例绝佳，令人爱不释手，精铜所制，表现纹饰不落俗套，加工精致，造型准确，是一件可用可赏之佳品。
