By Katsuo, Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th century The first a Shojo dancer standing, holding a lock of hair in one hand and a fan in the other, the outer robe decorated with geometric patterns; the second a sarumawashi (monkey trainer), kneeling, grasping a bundle tied around his shoulders, the monkey perched on his left shoulder; both signed Katsuo.
