By Yukimasa, Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th century Standing and elegantly dressed in a formal kimono, the obi elaborately decorated with ho-o birds and clouds, her coiffure adorned with two floral kanzashi (hair pins), a kushi (comb), and a kanoko (dappled silk hair tie), playfully tugging a long scarf with a ball and fan tied to one end just out of the dog's reach; signed in a rectangular cartouche Yukimasa to (Carved by Yukimasa). 21cm (8¼in) high.
