By Yabu Meizan (1853-1934), Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th century Finely decorated in enamels and gilt with two circular panels, one depicting a shijukara (Japanese tit) perched on a flowering branch of cherry and the other enclosing a group of karako (Chinese boys) at leisurely pursuits, on a ground of closely clustered millefleur of chrysanthemums and irises; signed on the base with a gilt seal Yabu Meizan. 7cm (2 3/4in) high.
