Taisho era (1912-1926), dated autumn 1920 An oban tate-e, titled along the left margin Tabi miyage dai isshu, Kanazawa Nagare no kuruwa (Nagare Pleasure Quarter in Kanazawa from the series Souvenirs of Travel, first series), depicting a silhouetted couple walking past a row of dimly lit teahouses facing the Asano River, a low crescent moon and shadows of pine trees above, dated Taisho kyu aki (Taisho 9 [1920] autumn), published by Watanabe Shozaburo, with a 6mm round Watanabe seal at the bottom right corner; signed Hasui with the artist's pre-earthquake Tomoe/Sui seal. 38.4cm x 25.8cm (13½in x 10 1/8in).
