Showa era (1926-1989), dated 1932 and 1937 Comprising two oban yoko-e prints: the first titled along the left margin Kohan no ame, Matsue (Lakeside Shower, Matsue) depicting a solitary oarsman beneath a sky with thick heavy dark grey clouds rowing toward orange-brown reeds bending along the shoreline, dated Showa shichinen nigatsu saku (Work of February, Showa 7 [1932]), published by Watanabe Shozaburo, with a small round 6mm Watanabe seal at the bottom right corner, 26.1cm x 39cm (10¼in x 15 3/8in); the second titled along the left margin Shiba Onshi koen (Onshi Park in Shiba) depicting an ancient pine at the edge of a pond, the nocturnal rain rendered in kirazuri (mica) vertical lines, dated Showa juninen junigatsu saku (Work of December, Showa 12 [1937]), published by Watanabe Shozaburo, with a 6mm round Watanabe seal at the bottom left corner, 27.2cm x 40cm (10¾in x 15 5/8in); both signed Hasui with Kawase seal.
