A good early 19th century satinwood wheel barometer Corti & Son, 94 Holborn Hill, London Surmounted by a broken swan neck pediment with ivory buttons centred by a brass urn over a detachable hygrometer and mercury thermometer, main dial, recording knob and spirit level, the signed silvered 9 inch dial with seven weather predictions reading to one-fortieth of an inch, with recording hand, all framed by a brass bezel. 100cms (3ft 4ins) high Footnotes: John Corti worked from 94 Holborn Hill from 1809 to 1815.
