葛明祥是清代宜钧第一高手，宜钧以白泥或紫泥为胎，所制器物大多仿宋代钧窑，施仿钧乳浊釉，故称“宜钧”。“灰中具蓝晕，艳似蝴蝶花”为宜钧基本釉色。此壶形仿汉代圆尊，圆嘴、圆把、圆滴，故称“汉圆”。紫砂为胎，底足内凹，外饰宜均釉，窑变发色漂亮，釉质肥厚，精品稀见，足以藏之。
