Western Han Dynasty The body rising from three crouching bear-shaped feet, and incised with two bands of scrolling clouds between three raised bands on the mouth rim, mid-body and the base rim, the side set with opposing taotie mask and loose-ring handles, the domed cover with two domed bands incised with scrolling clouds between two hollow bands of triangles, and evenly set with three long-tailed birds encircling a loose ring, all thickly gilt, the interior of the cover and the base painted with a stylised phoenix in green on a red ground, box. 18.5cm (7 1/4in) high. (2).Footnotes西漢 銅鎏金鏨刻雲氣紋彩繪鳥紋樽 Provenance: A Hong Kong private collection, acquired in Hong Kong on 16 March 2001 來源: 香港私人收藏，於2001年3月16日購於香港 Compare the shape, incised decoration and painted bird with a very similar gilt-bronze zun, Western Han Dynasty, unearthed in Xi'an, now in the collection of Shannxi Academy of Archaeology, which is illustrated in The Complete Collection of Bronzes Unearthed in China, Beijing, 2019, vol.17, pl.650. 蓋隆頂三層，最頂上安活環，中間一層安三個等距翹尾鳳凰形鈕，蓋身鏨刻四圈雲氣紋及山形紋，蓋樽作圓筒形，直壁，上中下起三棱帶，棱帶之間鏨刻雲氣紋，兩側安饕餮銜環鋪首，平底，下承三熊形足，通體鎏金，蓋內及樽外底繪紅地綠彩鳳鳥紋，保存完好，色彩艷麗。 陝西省西安市出土一件漢代鎏金樽形制、鏨刻紋飾乃至彩繪鳥紋與本件皆似，現藏陝西省考古研究院，見《中國出土青銅器全集》，北京，2019年，卷17，編號650。
