香港藏家旧藏 簸箕是一种古老的农具，与古代生活息息相关，早在商代就已经有了青铜簸箕的造型，是必不可少的家用器具，也是农耕文化的一种象征。簸箕的形象，也在扩展到文人的工具里，因此有了像本件簸箕式的砚。其簸箕砚为银制，样式素美，整体造型遵循对称的原则；簸箕线条的美感，本是满足实际使用功能之上自然的流露，在制作此砚时，略加经营，以符合书写笔墨之用。 砚底有铭：咸通三年造银砚台一回。
