筒身一面浅刻梅花图，仅取梅花枝端之景，枝骨横斜，恣意延伸，却只增秀挺，不显狂狷，寒梅簇簇，宛如星点，虽无色彩，亦增雅趣，颇有“一树寒梅白玉条”之感。 另一面则刻诗文：酒清花绮雪交加，睡足春宵春梦赊。夜半微风洒窗纸，不知是雪是梅花。甲子首春书于墨稼轩，谷口郑簠。并落一方印：郑簠之印。 郑簠，字汝器，号谷口，清代著名书法家，家藏碑刻拓片丰厚。尤擅隶书，又精行草，其书工整而不死板，又富有变化，飘逸虚灵，活脱洒丽，世人称其为“草隶”。
