“大明嘉靖年製”楷书款。 来源：文物公司 本品短直颈、折肩、直腹下敛、圈足胎质细密，通体施素白釉，釉质盈润。腹部饰青花折桂图，青花绘画细腻，线条流畅，人物形象生动有趣，所绘青花浓淡有致，发色纯正青翠。 “折桂图”典出于《晋书·郄诜传》：“武帝于东堂会送，问诜曰：‘卿自以为何如？’诜对曰：‘臣举贤良对策，为天下第一，犹桂林之一枝，昆山之片玉。’”后以“折桂”谓科举及第。唐代诗人杜甫亦有诗云：“梦兰他日应，折桂早年知。”反映出晚明士子对科举成绩的美好愿景。
