此碗花口，弧腹，圈足。外壁一侧以粉彩描绘山水图，另一侧书唐代鲍德元的“幽人往往怀麻姑，浮世悠悠仙景殊。自从青鸟不堪使，更得蓬莱消息无。”底部落“麻姑仙坛”四字楷书款。
花口碗外壁以粉彩绘江西十景之麻姑仙坛，苍山翠柏，楼宇亭台，瀑布祥云，风光旖旎。全器施彩柔美，雅致清新，书画合璧，耐人寻味，颇受意趣。
麻姑山以优美的风景和神话闻名于世。颜真卿62岁之时，登临麻姑山，游览仙坛，书兴大发，挥笔写下了记述麻姑仙女和仙人王方平在麻姑山蔡经家相会的神话故事，及麻姑山道士邓紫阳奏立麻姑庙经过的楷书字碑《有唐抚州南城县麻姑山仙坛记》。
