FOUR JAPANESE DAMASCENE CIGARETTE CASES TAISHO OR SHOWA, 20TH CENTURY All of typical rectangular form and decorated with figures, two with beauties holding umbrellas and the others with horse riders, two with seal marks for Ohayo Shoten, another for Amita Co. and the third by an unknown maker and marked K24, 7.7cm x 11.8cm max. (4) One of the cases is decorated after the famous sculpture 'End of the Trail' by James Earle Fraser (1876-1953) exhibited at the World Columbian Exhibition (1893) and the Panama–Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco (1915).
