Typical of high quality Ding wares, the present lot is well potted and has a smooth white body that is covered with an attractive ivory-toned glaze.Compare a Northern Song dynasty Dingyao dish, similarly shaped but with a narrow foot, illustrated in Regina Krahl,Chinese Ceramics from the Meiyintang Collection, vol.1, London, 1994, pl.347.口沿為葵花形，平底臥足，通體施白釉，釉色米白，澀胎鑲銅口，整體感覺高雅。比較一件玫茵堂舊藏定窯葵花口碗，碗口形制類似唯帶小圈足，見康蕊君，《玫茵堂中國陶瓷》，卷一，倫敦，1994年，圖版347。
