此炉仿三代青铜圆鼎而制，形制饱满，规格较为精巧，适宜案头焚香、赏玩。 其胎壁厚薄适中，但入手较为生坠，足端露铜处可见铜质色赤亮，微泛银光，细密若水。
圆唇口，上置双冲耳，其势外撇，城门洞状耳孔，颈部稍束，半球形腹微垂，丰腴饱满，腹部饰饕餮纹及焦叶纹，纹饰浅显，但铸造的极为清晰。腹下承接三个蹄形柱足，亦以饕餮纹为饰。
整器造型稳重，工艺精湛细腻，纹饰精美且古意十足，包浆浑厚，尺寸讨喜，为文房大雅之器。
