An extremely rare Capodimonte green-ground beaker and saucer, circa 1750Each painted by Giacomo Nani with a polychrome fish still life within a shaped, gilt-edged panel, the cartouche on the cup embellished with foliate scrolls, the saucer with a double-line cartouche, both with scattered gilt plants, rocks and insects on the green ground, the rims with double-line borders, fleur-de-lys marks in blue enamel (slight wear to gilding on edge of rim) (2)注脚Literature:A. The beaker appears to have originally had a handle, though it was detached before the green ground was applied.
