Marti, no.4530 The gilt brass rectangular bevelled glass case surmounted by a large urn finial, flanked on each side with a cloisonné colonnade of 4 decorated pillars, topped with floral urn finials on decorated bun feet, the 4 inch brushed brass and cloisonné Arabic dial with blued-steel hands surrounded and centred by cloisonné decoration, the circular movement striking the hours and half hours on a blued steel coil gong, with the original mercury pendulum (mercury is present). Together with a pair of associated gilt candlesticks on a three Sphinx statue base. Running and striking. 40cms (15.5ins) high, the candlesticks 31cms (12ins) high. (3)
