The case signed VION Surmounted by a seated cupid using his arrow to indicate the time read against the twin horizontal rotating bands, each with 12 enamel cartouche numerals set within a twin-handled urn held aloft by the Three Graces, each nude figure in a different pose and garlanded with flowers, on a circular base with scroll side pieces signed to the rear VION, the movement accessed through the removable door on the front of the plinth, the plates numbered 540/C/4.6/163, further signed and numbered to the underside on the movement securing brace in the base.
