A RARE WOOD FIGURE OF SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA Ming Dynasty Carved seated in uttarabodhi mudra on a double-lotus pedestal within beaded borders, the face with a serene expression and downcast eyes flanked by elongated ears, the hair worn in tight curls in a top usnisha, the robe draped symmetrically across the body and open at the chest, the surface with some original gilt and red lacquer decoration remaining. 34.5cm (13 5/8in) high.
