A VERY RARE PALE GREEN JADE SQUARE BOX AND COVER Yong nian two-character mark, late Ming Dynasty The slightly convex cover deftly incised with flowering branches and a bird, the rim and box with a key-fret border, raised on a slightly spreading channelled foot, the recessed base with an incised Yong nian (perpetual years) mark, the stone of pale green tone with minor russet inclusions. 6.4cm (2 1/2in) square.
