A RARE AND LARGE BLUE AND WHITE JARDINIÈRE First half 18th century Of shallow rectangular section supported on four short bracket feet, rising to an everted flange rim, painted in bright blue tones, the longer sides each with a magpie perching on a prunus branch amidst rock and bamboo, the shorter sides with pine branch and lingzhi fungus issuing from a rock, the rim decorated with a interlocking 'T'-shaped key-fret with a ruyi cloud to each corner, the interior left white and pierced with four holes for drainage, the base with a later stock number, hongmu wood stand, later liner. 47.7cm (18 3/4in) wide.
