Attributed to the Palace Workshops, Beijing, Qianlong wheel-cut four-character mark and of the period Of flattened rounded form raised on an oval foot, the bottle finely carved through the opaque red overlay with flowering morning glory in a garden with a butterfly in flight on both sides, with incised mark reads Qianlong nian zhi ('made in the Qianlong period'), gilt-bronze stopper, box. 6.8cm (2 5/8in) high. Compare with an example in the Beijing Palace Museum, illustrated in The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum, Hong Kong, 2003, pl.27; and four similar ones in the National Palace Museum, illustrated in Lifting the Spirit and Body: The Art and Culture of Snuff Bottle, Taipei, 2012, pl.II-064 to II-067, p.143-144. 扁瓶形，平底，銅鎏金鏨花蓋。乳白色地套紅色玻璃，壺體兩面雕刻牽牛花生於湖石間，兩只蝴蝶飛於其上。底陰刻「乾隆年製」款。 比較一件清宮舊藏「乾隆年製」款白套紅玻璃花卉紋鼻烟壺，形制相似，刻有兩只蜜蜂於菊花及海棠花中飛舞，見《故宮博物院藏文物珍品全集鼻烟壺》，香港，2003年，圖版27。臺北故宮博物院亦有四件白套紅玻璃花蝶題材鼻烟壺可資比較，見《通嚏清揚—鼻烟壺文化特展》，臺北，2012，圖版II-064 至 II-067，頁143-144。
