A RARE CHINESE IMPERIAL WUCAI `DRAGON AND PHOENIX` DISH SIX CHARACTER KANGXI MARK AND OF THE PERIOD 1662-1722 Painted in underglaze blue and overglaze yellow, green, aubergine and iron-red enamels with a central medallion enclosing two pairs of writhing dragons and phoenix amidst peony blossoms growing from leafy stems, the exterior and interior of the rounded sides similarly decorated with further striding dragons and phoenix in flight, all within double circles, 32cm. Provenance: formerly in an English private collection, purchased in Singapore in the 1960s. Cf.
