香港陈淑珍女士旧藏。 羊在中国传统文化中为吉祥、美好、善良的象征，《说文》有记：“羊，祥也”，古器物铭文中“吉祥”多作“吉羊”。而玉制的羊在古代为贵重之物。南朝梁萧统《七契》：“太平之瑞宝鼎，乐协之应玉羊。”本白玉立羊，造型高古，形态俊美，质地细腻，光泽柔和，为明末清初羊形玉雕之力作。
