黄杨木材，圆雕。施立体透雕法琢刻“童子拜寿”。坐姿寿星提膝坐端坐，老人头部向前隆起，朵颐丰颡，庞眉深目，长髯垂胸，笑容可掬。宽衣大袖，衣褶层迭垂然而下。端坐於假山之上，左手捧持如意，右手揽持蝠童子。画面中童子活泼嬉闹，手捧一枚硕大的寿桃，《神农本草》上“玉桃服之，长生不死”的文字，《神异经》说“东方树名曰桃，令人益寿”。《王贞农书》认为桃为“五木之精”，驱邪必自扶正，用桃祝寿也就自然有了祝颂的意思。作品取於黄杨木，质地润泽，利用根的自然形态进行构思，追求整体。雕刻刀法以圆雕、高浮雕为主，刀工谙熟，衣纹细劲清圆，疏密相间，将寿星之慈祥、童子之稚拙刻画的生动细腻。久经摩玩传承，葆浆浓郁匀净，有仙风道骨之气。
