A BRONZE FIGURE OF ZHENWU 16th/17th century The Daoist deity cast seated with his hands resting on his knees, wearing long flowing robes with the left upper part billowing, open at the chest to reveal scale armour above a belt and a writhing dragon in relief, with a serene expression, with finely-detailed beard and long flowing hair at the back, the bare feet protruding under the robes, traces of gilt lacquering remaining. 28.2cm (11 1/16in) high.
